Last week I received an email from our home builder titled "Monthly Home Maintenance Notification". Basically, you need to clean your house. It listed everything from vacuuming to cleaning out the lint screen from the dryer. I guess some people have no idea???

Which got me thinking, what are your favorite cleaning products?I know it isn't a very fun topic, but seriously, some are way better than others. Here are a few of my favorites:

Favorite Things- Cosmetics

Growing up in a house with all sisters and a mom who I'm pretty sure her greatest fear is running out of mascara, we had a lot of beauty products. And I think there isn't a better gift to give {or receive} than some nice make-up. Here are a few of my everyday favorites. And the beauty about cosmetics is you can get some great stuff at really affordable prices. I do splurge on a few things, but if I calculate my daily use cost {the accountant in me} they are actually quite affordable.

Favorite Things- All over the place

There have been a few things lately that I've fallen in LOVE with, no rhyme or reason I just think they are fabulous. Here's a few of them:

Bitty Bags from Whisker Graphics. I'm using them for the big ONE year birthday {they are looking so cute I can't wait to share}. They are also the perfect size for a gift card. You could wrap them so cute. I was totally inspired by this picture:

They happen to be made by my much more creative best friend, Brittany. I want to go buy felt today and make some. Although we seem to be in a "no bow" phase right now. You can see the tutorial here.

I'm a big fan of Italian, and Mario Batali just opened up this restaurant in our area:

Look at the fabulous menu here. My family are kind of pizza snobs {my dad has his own starter that is over 10 years old} and this pizza is definitely up to par. 

Grandma watched the little one one night this past weekend and the husband and I did a spontaneous date night here:

If you were curious, even if you show up at 7:30 at night you still pay the $80.

Favorite Things- Etsy Shops

I have recently stumbled upon {or maybe seen on pinterest} so many cute things that are from Etsy. There are so many creative, talented people out there. I feel like there are sooooo many different styles and Etsy is sure to have something for everyone. There are some things that just aren't for me or my house but I'm sure they will look great in someone's. And as I am not in love with a lot of things I see but every once in a while I am just in love with all things the shop has to offer! Favorite Things- TV Shows

I'm always kind of bummed that my regular shows are on re-runs during the Summer but this Summer there have actually been a few shows that have been pretty good. Here are a few of my favorite from this Summer.

I'm kind of sad that these are coming to and end:

2. Big Brother {yup, Big Brother; Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays on CBS}

Favorite Things- Summer

Summer is technically a couple of weeks away but from what I've seen on the weather reports it sure feels like Summer in much of the country. We've had a couple of days of June gloom but overall we have had sunny days with 72 degree weather. One of the many reasons I love living in southern california. Here are a few of my favorite things for Summer:

A colorful swimsuit

J Crew Shorts

Hawaii

Frozen Yogurt (These toppings are a lot healthier than the one's I usually get)

Fresh fruit, especially from my parent's house.

Barefoot Contessa recipes. They all remind me of Summer.

Crystal Cove State Beach

Neutrogena sunscreen. It is a little more expensive but I think it is hard to beat.

Pink peonies. Trader Joe's currently has them for $6.99.

Things I can't live without

Here are a few things that I currently can't live without:

Lafco Office candle. I don't have the time or money to go to a spa but this lets my home smell like one.

LeCruset dutch oven. I cook with this every night. It heats up fast, keeps things warm and cleans up easily. If I only had one pot it would be this one.

Restoration Hardware hotel sheet set. Over the past few months I have learned how precious sleep is and these sheets make the little sleep I get so much better.

Aiden and Anais blankets. They are the best and get softer every time I wash them.

My UppaBaby Vista stroller. Quite possibly the best gift I have ever been given.

My daily cup of coffee

My Medela Symphony breast pump. Maybe too much info, but pumping only pumping for 5 minutes is awesome.

Wubba Nub pacifiers. The best pacifier ever invented!
